Lantau Island located at the mouth of the Pearl River is the largest island in Hong Kong with the beautiful scenery and famous historical sites. Most of Lantau Island is part of the Islands District of Hong Kong. Hong Kong approximately 30 minutes by boat from Central District or 10 minutes bus by from the nearest MTR metro station (Sunny Bay). There you can see Hong Kong Disneyland,

Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre, Ngong Ping 360, Tian Tan Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, Tai O, Discovery Bay, Mui Wo, Chinese White Dolphins.

And you can do many activities such as Hiking at the 70-km Lantau Trail, Swim at Silvermine Beach in Mui Wo or at any of the other beaches around the island, Have a BBQ on the beach and shoping at Citygate Outlet. The most popular attraction for tourists visiting Lantau Island is climbing Phoenix Mountain to view and admire the sunrise. There are some guesthouses and hotels example Silver Mine Bay Hotel, Ngong Ping SG Davis Hostel and Disneyland Hotel.  There are several small cabins for hikers at Sunset Peak.
